I can get a certain item fresher, more organic, cheaper or more authentic.

We usually leave the specialty stores for family fun times and do our regular shopping at the Kroger or Walmart Market at the corner.Meredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08455517419708043340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7552228019061999697.post-6671414128245271942008-07-24T18:20:00.000-05:002008-07-24T18:20:00.000-05:00If you ever want anything from these stores, just ...If you ever want anything from these stores, just let me know and I will send it. Huckelberry's is my favorite. Only buy on occasion there. It is not my regular grocery store. But I so love going in there!!!! Too much money would be flying out of my wallet!
Have a great weekend!
ToniAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7552228019061999697.post-40097217426204932432008-07-17T10:44:00.000-05:002008-07-17T10:44:00.000-05:00Nancy, I LOVE to visit grocery stores when we go o...Nancy, I LOVE to visit grocery stores when we go on vacation. It's not a vacation unless we go to a new to us grocery store and bookstore.

Those stores you went to sound awesome. We have a few similar ones around here, but we only shop at them rarely. In fact, we have an awesome gourmet market just two miles down the road from us. We love to go to just wander around and enjoy some of their samples. We occasionally buy produce there. It is expensive, but it's also locally-grown, so it's nice to support that. Occasionally we buy some of their ready-made foods too. They have an amazing bakery section and deli/hot food counters. I would probably have to triple our grocery budget if we were going to buy more than just that there.

By the way, if you ever get the chance, you should try kefir. If you like yogurt, you'll love it! And it is SO good for you.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03112133327097954479noreply@blogger.com
