We had this 5 year old boy in our house this weekend. Plus his 7 year old sister. Our oldest had an overnight babysitting job so the kids spent the night with us. Little boys are different than little girls, and of course having 2 daughters, little girls is all I know.
They are a different creature. I enjoyed this little man and his big imagination. He took me outside yesterday to the large pine trees that are in our neighbors yard. He told me I should be on the lookout for Bowser. Bowser is his giant with spikes on his back. Little did I know that there was a big Bowser and a little Bowser. When Big Bowser got loose I had to run and run fast. Can I just tell you that Bowser provided my incentive for exercise? As did a game of kickball.
Saturday evening there were 2 additional kids here for a total of 4 little ones. Another girl who is 5 and her 8 year old brother. They decided they'd like popcorn to go with their movie. I do it the old fashioned way. You know, kernels in a large pot on the stove top. You have heard of that, right? It was new to them. They had no idea you could do popcorn without a microwave. Oh.my.word.best.entertainment.ever. You would have thought I'd created a volcanic science experiment.
p.s. the babysitter received a text from the mother of the 5 year old girl and the 8 year old boy on sunday morning. said that the kids had a great time, thought the parents were funny and loved, loved the mom's popcorn. made me laugh.

good times! my dad used to put one kernel of corn in and left the top off. it was always so fun when it popped out of the pan.
too cute!
I will drop my kids off this weekend if you need more boy entertainment! :-) That's so funny about the popcorn.
Now that you've experienced little boys, I think it's high time you've experienced teenage boys! I'll send Ian right over! :)
