a new do

One thing about having teenage daughters is that they are more than willing to share their opinion. I knew it needed to be done but they pushed me to do it.

I was in need of a haircut. According to the girls, I needed a style, not just a haircut. I knew it but sometimes taking that big step can be hard. My hair style hasn't changed much over the years. A little shorter. A little longer. A few more layers. That's it. No more. I took the plunge. Here's a little peek for those of you that I know would ask to see it.

I said good-bye to a lot of hair tonight. At least 4 inches; probably more than that in the back since it's stacked. I wasn't nervous though. It's just hair. It will grow back if I decide I don't like it. Give me a couple of days and I'll let you know. The girls gave it the stamp of approval. Well, at least the one that is more opinionated about how I look gave it the ok. Next thing on the list is a color. I'm getting more greys than I care to admit. It's not pretty. I want to be a little lighter, a little brighter.

I love it! It is super cute...and modern and hip! And don't talk to me about grays...oh my gosh...it's so sad, isn't it?

I love it as well! I have yet to color my hair - waiting until after the first of the year.

Merry Christmas to your family. Enjoy : )

I got my haircut this past Saturday, and that's pretty much the cut I was trying to explain. I've seen it on so many people, and it's really cute. (On you too!) My hairdresser seems unable to angle it that much, though, because this is the second time I've tried to get him to do that. I think I need to take a picture in. What he gave me is a just above chin length bob. At first I didn't like it, but now I think I do. It always, always takes me a few days to get used to a new haircut. I've been considering coloring mine, too--not to cover up the grey, which I don't really mind so far, but because the color just seems so mousey. I'll be watching to see what you do when it comes to color! It looks great so far!

I really like your new do . . . 'Tis the season. Last week Kendra did something to my hair. It's good to have a change.
