when life gives you limes...

...make limeade! Our local seasonal market had limes on special this weekend -- 10 for $1.  What better time to make limeade? I love limeades and fresh is far and above what you get at Sonic and trust me, I'm a fan of Sonic limeade!

I stopped at the market on my way to the grocery store today. A pint container held 10 limes. Just enough for one batch of my recipe.

As I was making the pizza for our Saturday night dinner, I asked Lawman and Madison to squeeze the limes. By the time I popped the pizza in the oven, they had all the limes squeezed.

Limeades from scratch are super easy and super delicious. To make, place 1 1/2 cups of sugar in a pitcher. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add about 1 1/2 c. of fresh squeezed lime juice (I used 10 small limes) and 5 cups of cold water. Stirl well and serve on ice.
