Speak to Me, My Love

Be still my heart. Lawman is speaking my love language this morning. He made breakfast -- biscuits, sausage, scrambled eggs and a diet coke on ice.

He worked at McDonald's during high school so he knows this routine.

I can't think of a better way to begin my day than fresh baked biscuits with butter and honey. No chocolates or flowers for me thank you.

What's your love language? Hope your Valentine speaks it to you today.

For me, it's the little things, preferably on days not dictated by the calendar or card companies but just because. Things that show he knows me and has been listening are the best. Two of my favorite gifts: 3 Steinbeck books from a used book store (3 I didn't already have from my favorite author) and an antique book press bought at a garage sale for $5 (for pressing wildflowers and he knew I'd like for him to brag about the bargain). Then there's the camera, but that's a big thing. Sometimes big things are nice, too:o)

That is SO my love language. Feed me good food and I am yours forever. Unfortunately, hubs can only make Pop Tarts for me, but he can pour a mean glass of wine :) Happy Valentine's Day :)
