It's a Rare Ocassion...

...that I find myself home alone. Yes, alone. Unless you count the cat.

Lawman is working. B2 and 3 are at a friend's house.

So, I've been contemplating what to do with myself after I finish this post. Here are a few of my options.

Clean closets - there's not a closet in this house that couldn't use a major overhaul.

Paint my toenails - it is almost sandal season.

Make my grocery list - the cupboards are getting a bit bare.

Note: I am no longer home by myself. B2 just walked in. See, it never lasts long. Probably all of 15 minutes tonight.

Now, here is what I really want to do - - READ. As it turns out, I've got some good reading material right now.

I got my new issue of Taste of Home's simple & delicious in the mail today. I got the latest issue of Kraft's Food & Family in the mail yesterday.

I've got 2 books from the library--Living a Beautiful Life and Creating a Beautiful Home by Alexandra Stoddard.

I've started reading this book because I saw that there's going to be a movie of it on Lifetime and I always like to read the books before I see the movie.

Well, given that I have so much reading to do, I better sign off here and start turning pages.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter was a good book, terrible movie. I didn't know how they were going to condense the book into a 2 hour movie with commercials. I got my answer, not well. I hope you like the book. I kept thinking the same thing through the entire book. How one decision affected so many people and other decisions!

Thanks so much for sharing the links on those books. I'm always looking for new things to read and those all sound like books that would interest me. I'll have to add them to my library list! I hope you were able to enjoy some wonderful quiet reading time.
